To support Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth in Polk County through services and activities that address their linguistic, social, and emotional needs to help prepare them for independence.

Did You Know…?

  • There are approximately 70 million Deaf people worldwide, who have as many as 500 million immediate family members in total. 

  • Two percent (2%) of the world’s Deaf population has access to education in sign language. 

  • Twenty-five percent (25%) of parents use Sign Language to communicate with their Deaf child.
